Waiting for Laughter

Maybe someday my everlasting grin will be far away
No longer will it grace me face
Today is not quite someday
Because I'm lost in you
Somehow I can't help but feel alive
You hold me, so stoical
But together me and you face all strife
I can't let you be lonely
You never smile at me
You can't stay that way forever
If your eyes flashed their own smile, could you ever be
lost in me?
I am always the joker
I am the one who can always pretend
You are the one who's smile I yearn for
And until I hear your laughter sing
My perpetual grin is forced forever more.
